Nucleus Appoints Gil Azaria to Key Operational Role in Expansion of Asia Pacific Presence for Vulnerability Management

On the heels of unprecedented growth and product adoption in the region, we’re thrilled to announce a new appointment to our operational structure in the Asia Pacific region, positioning Nucleus for its next phase of expansion. Gil Azaria joins Nucleus as Director of APAC Operations, responsible for driving growth and operational excellence across the company’s business and product development and customer success functions in the region.

“During the first three quarters of 2020, we saw remarkable demand from the APAC market, particularly within Australia” said Stephen Carter, CEO of Nucleus. “Gil brings us ‘boots on the ground’, having deep ties to the security landscape in the region as a respected practitioner and expert in the DevSecOps space. As we position Nucleus for expansion in the region, Gil  gives us tremendous credibility and insight into the market, growing our footprint as the leading solution for vulnerability management in APAC.”

A former Nucleus power-user himself, Azaria brings deep expertise in cyber and application security to his role, having recently served at the Australian Post in various security appointments in Melbourne. In addition to his work securing large enterprises, Azaria has volunteered his time to help build and advise non-profit organizations that aim to support young people, women and people from diverse backgrounds in gaining information security experience and education.

“Gil’s hands-on experience with the Nucleus solution and reputation within the APAC security community makes him a critical piece of our strategy in the region,” added Carter. “We’re thrilled to add a professional of his character and security expertise to our team. Our contacts in the region are gaining an amazing resource to enhance their security program through Nucleus with Gil at the forefront.”

“Joining Nucleus feels like second nature to me” said Azaria. “I’ve seen first hand how implementing Nucleus at a large organization can be the catalyst for a successful vulnerability management program, and I’m excited to work with our growing customer base in the region to see them realize that same success.
