A Purpose Beyond the Conference Floor: Supporting Tunnel to Towers at RSAC 2026
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was born from tragedy and from an extraordinary act of courage.
On September 11, 2001, firefighter Stephen Siller ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel in full gear to reach the Twin Towers. He gave his life that day serving others in the aftermath of the unexpected attack on the US. Since then, Tunnel to Towers has honored that legacy by supporting fallen and injured service members, first responders, and their families by providing mortgage-free homes, financial assistance, and long-term stability to those who have sacrificed so much.
Why We Support the Tunnel to Towers Mission
At its core, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is about something simple and profound: standing behind the people who stand up for the rest of us.
That mission resonates deeply, especially in a community like ours.
The cybersecurity industry is built on protection. We work every day to defend systems, safeguard data, and reduce risk in an increasingly complex world. But the individuals honored by Tunnel to Towers protect something even more fundamental: lives, communities, and freedom.
During RSAC 2026, Nucleus Security will host a fundraising reception benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. It’s an opportunity to bring together cybersecurity leaders and industry partners not just to connect, but to support a mission that reflects our shared values of service, resilience, and responsibility.
Hosting a Different Type of Event
We know that the week at RSA is busy. Schedules are packed and the conversations are fast.
This gathering will be intentionally different. It’s a chance to step back from the noise of the conference floor and spend time with peers who understand both the technical complexity of our work and the broader responsibility that comes with it.
Supporting Tunnel to Towers reflects a belief we share as an industry: protection is ultimately about people.
The families who benefit from Tunnel to Towers’ programs carry forward a legacy of service. If we can contribute in some small way by bringing our community together in support of that mission, it’s worth doing.
I’m proud of the Nucleus team for helping make this event possible, and I’m grateful to the partners and leaders who will join us in San Francisco.
Security is about defending what matters. This is one way we can help honor those who have done exactly that.
